DME’s Evolution

The year was 1982, and the focus was direct marketing. Visionary Mike Panaggio began a seven person agency, Direct Mail Express, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Direct Mail for Central Florida
DME fills the direct mail void for Central Florida businesses. Within a few years, DME expands its mailing capabilities for clients nationwide.


B&W Digital Print Technology
To provide clients with variable data-driven direct mail capabilities, DME purchases its first B&W digital printer.


Growth, Growth, Growth
Our sales efforts really takes off in a variety of industries including furniture, MLM, travel and most importantly…automotive.


Automated Direct Mail
DME develops Design Assistant, which is software used to automate direct mail creative efforts.


Response Mail Express (RME)
Response Mail Express (RME) is developed. RME is a multi-channel prospecting program for financial planners.


Xerox Partnership
DME collaborates with Xerox to develop a custom shared disc interface making digital print production more efficient.


Customer Interaction Center (CIC)
DME opens the Customer Interaction Center (CIC), a 92-seat communication hub with 150 professionally trained operators offering live and automated inbound/outbound telecommunications services.


Color Digital Technology
DME beta tests its first variable color digital press.


Web to Print
DME launches its first Web to Print application – Action Mail.


Red Rocket
DME launches Red Rocket, a proprietary cloud-based data technology platform. Red Rocket fuels acquisition and retention marketing programs for the automotive market.


Xerox/DME Innovation Tour
DME purchases three Xerox iGen3’s, and hosts a two-day event to introduce the digital print revolution.


DMEautomotive (DMEa)
DME forms a partnership with JM Family Enterprises, Inc. to establish DMEautomotive (DMEa).


Next Generation Digital Print
DME begins a companywide upgrade to the latest in digital print technology by purchasing six colored digital presses from Xerox, HP and Xeikon.


DME launches a retail division focused on B2B and B2C personalized greeting cards, gift wrap and keepsakes.


Office Depot Partnership
Strategically partnering with Office Depot, DME began offering Office Depot’s customers customized and branded web to print platforms.


DME Connect
DME releases a web to print portal for both B2B and B2C clients. A simple solution for all product management needs.


DME Sports
DME Sports was born with NBA quality courts and training facilities. The first Academy class generated 3 players moving on with NCAA Division 1 scholarships.


DME Automotive was sold and rebranded as AutoPoint.

Mike Panaggio

Chief Executive Officer

Mike Panaggio came to Daytona Beach by way of Rochester, New York. Along with family, business, and travel – one of Mike’s greatest passions is basketball.

In fact, his father was the coach at SUNY Brockport where he played during college. Mike credits him, a man who coached high school and collegiate sports for 50 years, with inspiring his appreciation, intensity, and direction for creating a winning game plan. That same team concept that earned Mike a men’s scoring record in college has been the roadmap to DME’s success in the marketplace.

Part entrepreneur, part visionary, and all-around innovator – Mike doesn’t just embrace marketing’s evolution, he creates it.

Kathy Wise


Originally from Rochester, New York, Kathy graduated from SUNY Oswego before moving on to San Diego State to work on her master’s degree.

As fate would have it, two kids and two grandkids later, she’s still running the DME show. Under her watchful eye, DME has grown from a seven-person start-up to an internationally recognized, vertically integrated marketing agency. As President, Kathy is intimately involved in all aspects of the business.

A true champion of DME’s Benefitness program, most days Kathy can be found relieving her stress by sweating it out at the company’s onsite fitness center.

Greg Dean

EVP, Marketing and Technology

Born and raised in East Tennessee, Greg spent much of his life enjoying outdoor activities in the Great Smoky Mountains. He visits the tail water streams to fly-fish for trout as often as possible.

Greg is a seasoned pianist and has been known—on occasion—to belt out a 12-bar blues tune on his tenor sax. Hobbies and pastimes aside, he spends a tremendous amount of time and effort developing innovative marketing solutions. Greg’s advanced education in marketing and computer science, along with 20+ years of experience in the industry, provides the basis for creating effective marketing strategies. Married since 1981, his wife is a Daytona Beach native. Although considered a “transplant” by the standards of a Florida native, Greg has embraced the Daytona Beach area as his home, and DME as his extended family.

Terry Webber

EVP, Client Solutions

A Pennsylvania native, Terry fell in love with a Floridian while stationed at MacDill Air force Base in Tampa in the early ‘90s and decided to call Florida home.

Always a thrill seeker, Terry has redefined the meaning of the Florida lifestyle. He and his family spend weekends as theme park junkies, most recently flying high at an indoor skydiving attraction.

While Terry began his over 20 year career with DME in automotive marketing, he now leads the company’s efforts in product and business development with a major focus on the Office Depot relationship. In fact, our web-to-print platforms, partnered with Office Depot’s nationwide print routing network, are now providing business solutions for many of Office Depot’s best customers.

Jon Hall

EVP, Production Technology

Raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jon attended the University Of Minnesota Institute Of Technology before moving to Florida in 1990.

He came to work for DME in 1996 as a laser programmer before moving around in various technology roles. He currently oversees daily operations of Data Services and Product Configuration departments. When he's not hard at work on his various DME projects, he spends most of his spare time with wife, children and grandchildren.

Jon loves to cook, especially for a crowd, leading to a Saturday night family gathering tradition. A man of many talents, he also finds time to sing in choir and praise band at his home church every Sunday. When he's not flexing his creative skills in the kitchen or at church, he enjoys his hobby of being a cyclist, traveling the streets and bike routes across Central Florida.

Mike Dunn

Chief Operations Officer

Hailing from the Philly area, Mike has a love for all things cheesy, greasy and that taste like a cheese steak or pizza. Beyond his foodie persona, he is an athlete at heart.

Being from the hometown of the Franklin Mint, Mike is an avid coin collector. He’s known for his thriftiness and after tiring of his many home improvement projects, he took that frugality to the beach where he and his family are enjoying the Florida sunshine surfside at their new condo.

A member of the DME family since 1994, Mike oversees all day-to-day operations as the Chief Operating Officer. He institutes cost-cutting measures and quality control while streamlining processes throughout the company. He serves as an advisor for business development as DME expands its international footprint.

Rob Carll

Chief Marketing Officer

Born in Saratoga, New York and a Syracuse Orange alum, Rob fell in love with his future wife and became a beach-loving Floridian in 1990.

He started as a sales assistant at DME in 1991 before enjoying a successful sales career. After leaving in 2003, he returned in 2007 and delved into several leadership positions before assuming the CMO role in 2015. Like most DME management, Rob is skilled at wearing multiple hats, usually the NY Mets.

When not overseeing DME’s marketing efforts, he spends as much as he can with family and messing with his Fantasy Baseball Team. In 2015, he became a reluctant fan of another orange and blue school when his daughter headed to the University of Florida.

Eric Remington

Chief Technology Officer

Born in New York, but raised near the beaches in Florida, Eric is a Marketing graduate from Stetson with a focus on technology and minor in surfing.

Eric is an avid surfer (an addict, really). It's his healthy outlet of exercise also providing solace to de-stress and reflect. When not in the surf, he can be found on the soccer field coaching, playing or watching with his wife and 3 kids. Professionally, it's the love of solving puzzles that lead to providing technical business solutions. Not only is it personally rewarding to create solutions with technology, the real pay-off is the customer satisfaction.

Throughout Eric's 20+ year career at DME, he has provided key influence to many of the core applications and business systems. The current focus of his attention is leading the ongoing development of our Connect platform that provides eCommerce portals for marketing solutions leveraging our Intelligent Production Network (IPN) for production automation.

Dan Garley

Director of Information Technology

A western Massachusetts native, Dan joined the armed forces at 17 and served his country for 20 years. Unexpectedly ending up in Florida due to the needs of the Navy, Dan decided to make Florida his permanent home.

A University of North Florida Computer and Information Systems graduate with over 20 years of experience in data communications and information technology, Dan joined DME in 1999 and has provided his leadership and technical skills to the IT Department resulting in an efficient, robust and secure IT infrastructure supporting our internal needs as well as all of our public facing sites and customer portals.

He spends much of his free time immersed in computer and aviation technology, flying an RV7 and engaging in other aviation related activities.

In 2010, Kathy Wise, DME’s president, was having a hard time getting a prospect to return her calls. So she did what she does best…she found a way to get his attention. Utilizing one of our artists to design a roll of customized wrapping paper with his name and company logo and one of our digital printers to print a roll, she wrapped a gift and sent it off.

Two days later, the prospect called her back.

Light bulbs went off and GiftSkins was created. Giftskins is our line of personalized wrapping paper and we believe was the first of its kind. From there what we call our ‘retail’ division was born. Bar Mitzvah and Communion invitations were next and followed by several others of a similar nature. Utilizing aggregate printing methods, we took many small orders and printed them together to make them profitable. Soon DME Connect was created to utilize the same methodology. That’s another story.
